Puffin Web Browser

Puffin Web Browser

A couple of weeks ago I posted a list of 5 flash based browsers available for the iPad. During our regular iPad Users Group meeting, we test a couple of those browsers with MathXL, a third party online math course management system.

Students have been having issues viewing homework problems in MathXL, because of Apples no-use ban on flash based content. During our meeting one of our Math instructors, Leanna, discovered that the Puffin Free Browser allows students to access the MathXL flash-based content.

We also tried to use Photon Flash Browser for MathXL, but it did not work. Sometimes one must try various solutions to find the one that works. It is a good lesson to keep in mind as you search for your own solutions to various problems, but for MathXL users you may want to take a look at Puffin. Check it out at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/puffin-web-browser-free/id472937654?mt=8.
