Blackboard Tool to find Broken Links

leave a comment »

During the semester start-up, you may find the Broken Links tool a valuable resource for your online classes. This tool checks for broken links to various items in your course. Links may be broken because the path to the item no longer exists, or the file may have been moved, renamed, or deleted. This process checks the content collection for missing files, it does not check your web links to external websites.

On the Control Panel Choose Packages and Utilities> Check Course Links> Ok

Broken Links

Broken Links

Broken items will be displayed with a list to where they were originally located. The Print Preview button will allow you to print out the file list to assist you in tracking down the missing files.
