Blackboard Tip: Hide Your Old Courses/Terms

leave a comment »

You will probably still see a list of courses/terms from previous semesters when you login to Blackboard. These courses cannot be deleted from your list, but you can hide them.

Click on the Gear icon in the top right corner of the “my courses” frame. It normally does not appear until you run your mouse over the course list title bar.

On the Personalize: Course List page, you can do several things. You can Edit Course List or Edit Terms. The term section allows you to deal with all courses listed in a term and the Edit Courses allows you to modify individual courses.

  1. Click the Group by Term option. This will group your courses by terms and allow you to hide entire groups with a single click. You can also adjust the order of terms to have the most recent term at the top of your course list.

  2. Uncheck the check box to remove the term from your course list.
  3. Click and move the terms to arrange in course list.

To hide a course move to the Edit Course List and uncheck the items you do not want to appear on your course list.
