Training Schedule

All sessions are in 308A and are one hour in length. Seating is limited.

Bamboo – Learn how to use the bamboo pen and multi-touch tablet. This is a great way to enhance you computer experience by allowing you to input information with your own handwriting.

BB9 – Various BB9 functions such as import/export, gradebooks, discussions, etc

Chrome Store – This will  highlight some of the apps from the chrome store.

Deeyoon – This software allows you to create a online video debate. It also allows views to vote on the different sides of the debate.

Educreations – Educreations is a recordable interactive whiteboard that captures your voice and handwriting to produce amazing video lessons that you can share online. Students and colleagues can replay your lessons in any web browser, or from within our app on their iPads. You do not need an ipad to create whiteboard lessons.

Excel –  Learn how to use excel.

Google Drive – Learn features of google drive such as surveys, documents, sharing, etc.

iPad – This session overs the basics of iPad. A variety of apps will be featured.

Internet Security – Simple things you can do to protect your privacy online.

Jing – Jing is a free screen capture software. You can create instructional videos with voice narration.

Learnist – A new educational website this is a cross between Facebook and pinterest.

Online Photo Editing – This session will cover a few websites devoted to online photo editing. You can crop, rotate, your images or turn them into magazine covers.

Prezi –  Prezi is an online presentation tool.

Socrative – Socrative it an online tool that acts like a classroom clicker. You can poll the class to see if everyone is getting the concepts and get instance feedback. This tool is free and can be used with smartphones, ipads, or computers.

Timelines – Create timelines for your students to help them understand a series of events. Timelines can be used to show events such as the 9/11 or the history of computer technology.

Word Merge – This session will cover how to create mail merge letters in MS Word.

WordPress – Create your own blog and publish to it from MS Word.
